August 27, 1942 - April 27, 2015 Betty Ann Brown Sanders, 72, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 going home to celebrate her new birthday in Heaven with our Lord and her beloved family and friends. Betty was a member of Burks United Methodist Church and a graduate of Hixson High School. She was employed by Gold Bond for 20 plus years. Her passion in life was her many friends and her love for gospel and country music. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Hoss and Lucille Brown; husband, Herman Sanders and her loyal companion, Raymond “Sonny” Hahn. Survivors include her son, Frank Sanders, sisters, Judy Brown and Shirley Thomas (Jim) along with several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ted Painter officiating. Burial will follow at Schneitman Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Chattanooga and the Hospice Care Center along with the wonderful friends who have helped Betty through all the tough times.
