Elizabeth “Lib” Hickman Hodge, 69, of Bakewell, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, at her home. She was a member of the Sale Creek Church of God. Lib was famous for her fried pies and loved to fish. She was a very caring mother and loved her dog “Lucky”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Hodge; parents, Charles and Ida Mae Hickman and brother, Bill Hickman.
Survivors include her daughters, Sally (Tracy) Hodge and Ruby (Nathan) White both of Bakewell; son, William (Teresa) Dennis of Dayton; step-son, Luther Ray (Betty) Hodge of Florida; special friend, Jill Cooper; sister, Toodie St. Julian of Ohio; sister –in-law, Mildred “T-tot” Hodge; grandchildren, Logan White, Kimberly Dennis and Myleigh Dill, step-grandchildren, Erica Armstrong and DeWayne (Amber) Hodge, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
