  [S16] Obituary. December 5, 1923 - July 9, 2013 Dorothy Hamby Sholtz, 89, of Soddy Daisy passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. She owned and operated Hamby Grocery for 22 years and was a member of Straightway Holiness Church. The daughter of the late Ples and Louisa Hamby, she was also preceded in death by her son, Harvey Lee Sholtz; and brothers, William and Willard Hamby. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley May, Edith Davis, and Yvonne Elsea; brothers, Ples Hamby, Jr., all of Soddy Daisy, and Harry Hamby of Hixson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Aaron Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Legacy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Soddy-Daisy
