  [S16] Obituary. February 4, 1942 - October 29, 2013 Donald Ray Harris, 71, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Donald was a logger by trade, but he retired as a construction worker. He also enjoyed watching his son-in-law, Chuck, race his stock car. Donald was the son of the late Raymond and Irene Harvey Harris. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Frady and five brothers, Willie Lee, Granville, Francis, Benton and Hayden Harris. He is survived by two daughters, Salena (Jeff) Lemons of Soddy-Daisy, Rhonda (Chuck) Ivey of Edgewater, Florida; six grandchildren, Jacob, Sierrah & Caroline Lemons; Felicity, Aden and Samson Ivey; the mother of his daughters, Loretta Gann Beene. He is also survived by one brother, Homer Harris of Little Rock, California; four sisters, Nellie Penney of Buffalo, Missouri, Ruth Yother of Hixson, June Yother and Anna Belle Hatfield both of Soddy-Daisy. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Jerry Yother officiating. Interment will follow in Granny Walker Cemetery. Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank each and every one at Soddy-Daisy Health Care for the loving care given to our loved one.
