  [S16] Obituary. October 7, 1924 - September 17, 2016 Catherine Settles Carmack, 94, of Soddy-Daisy, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, September 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Carmack; her parents, Oscar and Kate Settles; her brothers, Robert and William Settles; her sisters, Evelyn Spradling and Thelma Weeks; and her daughter-in-law, Katrina Carmack. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Nathan) Ledford; her son, James Carmack; grandchildren, Kristy (Matt) Branum, Josh Carmack, and Shelby Lynn Carmack; great-grandchildren, Becky (Shane) Parker, Andrew Branum, and Katie Branum; and one great-great-grandson, Camden Parker. She was a daughter of a pioneer family who settled in the Soddy Daisy area in the 1800’s. She loved the Lord and was a great inspiration to her family and all who knew her. She was loved and will be missed by many people. The family would like to thank Soddy Daisy Health Care Center and Avalon Hospice for all the care and devotion she received. Visitation is 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Services will be 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Minister Charles Ables officiating.
