  [S16] Obituary. November 3, 1925 - February 11, 2013 George E. Irwin, 87, of Soddy-Daisy passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. He was formerly employed by DuPont for 39 years. He was a deacon and a lifetime member of the Soddy Church of Christ. He was a WWII Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bobbie Lou Irwin; his parents, Myrtle Caldwell and Jake Irwin, and parents-in-law, James and Edith Lovelady; daughters, Loucretta Ann Irwin, and Deborah Kay Taylor; brother, Thomas Irwin. Survivors include his daughter, Janice (Sam) Kennedy of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Sherry (Scott) Holt Mast of Nashville; Kristi Taylor Bumpus of Jasper, Aaron Taylor of Chattanooga; great grandchildren, Jack and Sam Mast, Payne and Ryan Bumpus; sister-in-law, Jimmie Irwin, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday with military honors at Chattanooga Memorial Park with Minister Bill Greer officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M.
