William Joseph “Dub” London, Sr., 86, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving with the Marine Corp Medical. Dub was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 27 years of service where he was known as “Jack”. He was a member of the Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 F.&A.M. Dub was preceded in death by his parents, James Roy London and Frances “Nettie” Sosebee London and brother, James R. London.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Doris Ann Grant London; sons, Joe (Judy) London of Soddy-Daisy and Roy (Rhonda) London of Pikeville; daughter, Linda L. Yoder of Soddy-Daisy; sister, Mary Ellen Benton of Red Bank; grandchildren, Edwin Yoder, Keith Yoder and Dawn London; great grandchildren, Alexis and Austin Yoder along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel Rev. Ted Painter officiating. There will be a Masonic Service by the Daisy Masonic Lodge#706 F. &A.M. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery with members of the Daisy Masonic Lodge #706 F.&A.M. serving as pallbearers. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
