Eugene A. “Red” Frazier, 85, of Soddy Daisy, a born-again believer, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on Friday, July 29, 2011. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Soddy Daisy and the Fellowship and Harmony Sunday School Class. Red was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 107. He retired from Dupont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Greene Frazier and his daughter, Ann Frazier Willis.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Frazier; daughters, Sue (Frank) Hutcheson, Cindy Jo (Jeff) Garrett, Carol (Jacky) Reavley; step-daughters, Rebecca (Robert) Wilson and Amanda (Richard) Plumlee; grandsons, Jimmy Sisson, Patrick (Cori) Hagan, Preston Reavley; granddaughter, Melanie Hutcheson; step-grandchildren, Christian Wilson and Sommer Wilson; great grandchildren, Kit Hagan and Charlie Hagan.
Services will be Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Soddy Daisy with Dr. Seton Tomyn officiating. He will lie in state from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Monday before the service at the church. Burial will follow at Poe Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Soddy Daisy Missions Fund, 10185 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379.
