    Penney - Mosie L. (Mose), age 74, of Rt. 2, Soddy, Tennessee died in aChattanooga hospital Friday night after a lingering illness. He was aretired employee of the Cumberland Case. Co. of Chattanooga. He was theson of the late George and Sally Miller Penney, pioneer family of Hixson,Tennessee. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Goldie Lee Penney, Soddy; twosons, Robert Penney, Ooltewah, Tennessee; Harold Penney, Hixson; the lateRalph Penney; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hale, Nashville; Mrs. FrankieMcRee, Soddy; Mrs. Merle Becker, Birmingham, Alabama; one brother, JohnnyPenney, Chattanooga; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Clift, Mrs. Sarah JaneMayberry, both of Chattanooga; 14 grandchildren; several nieces andnephews.
    Funeral will be 2:30 p. m. Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home bythe Reverend George W. Ayers, the Reverend J. C. Hale and the ReverendOrvil H. Thomas. Interment will be in the Hamilton Memorial GardensCemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Wilson, Freddie Wilson,Richard Stevison, Wayne Lee, Michael Lee, Clayton McCamish, the ReverendClayton Privett, Billy McFarland, Clyde Wilson, Paul Painter, DavidStokes, Carl Lasley, Albert, and J. B. Jones. The body will remain atthe funeral home. Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home,Highway 27, Soddy-Daisy.

    Penney - George W., 93, of 3307 Lamar Ave., Red Bank, Tennessee diedin a Chattanooga hospital Monday afternoon after a lingering illness. Hewas the son of the late George W. and Polly Jane Martin Penney, pioneersettlers of North Hamilton County. He was a retired farmer and a memberof the Middle Valley Church of God and of Soddy Masonic Lodge No. 418F&AM. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nancy J. Penney, Red Bank; two sons,John L. Chattanooga; Mose Penney, Soddy; two daughters, Mrs. JamesMayberry, Red Bank; Mrs. Frances Clift, Red Bank; 12 grandchildren and 17great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from the chapel of the funeralhome with the Reverends L. W. Ledbetter, A. C. Johnson, and Lloyd Brownofficiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial ParkCemetery. Active pallbearers will be Robert Penney, Ralph Penney, HaroldPenney, Robert Cope, Bobby Clift and Larry Clift.
